Department of Gastroenterology is fully equipped to manage patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, Alcoholic Liver disease, cirrhosis of liver, acute and chronic hepatitis, acute abdominal pain, diarrheal diseases, gall bladder, pancreatic disorder and gastrointestinal tumors.
We have Olympus 160 series of upper and lower GI endoscopes for diagnosing and treating luminal disorders. The therapeutic treatment includes endoscopic variceal bandligation, endoscopic sclero therapy, and injection therapy for bleeding ulcers, endoscope polypectomy and dilation of strictures.
Shortly we will be upgrading our department with a side viewing endoscope and ERCP facility for dealing complicated biliary and pancreatic disease.
